Your path to compassionate support

Welcome to Novella Counselling and Supervision, my private counselling and clinical supervision practice based in Swansea, South Wales. I offer online counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision across the UK, grounded in compassion, relational depth and emotional safety, with a neurodiversity-affirming approach.

Whether you're looking for counselling and psychotherapy for anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm or neurodiversity, or reflective clinical supervision to support your counselling practice, you'll find a warm and collaborative space to explore, understand and find greater clarity – with support that feels sustainable and meaningful.

Novella's Services

I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, burnout, self-esteem and identity. I also have particular experience in neurodiversity-affirming therapy, including exploring masking, overwhelm and the experience of navigating relationships as a neurodivergent person.

Alongside counselling, I offer reflective and collaborative clinical supervision for student and qualified counsellors, supporting both you and the work you do with your clients.

Student & newly qualified counsellors

I offer supportive and reflective clinical supervision for student counsellors throughout their counselling training. Together, we can build your confidence, develop your unique therapeutic voice and establish healthy boundaries within your clinical practice. Supervision also offers space to explore your inner critic, reflect on your client work and develop sustainable ways of working from the beginning of your counselling career.

Experienced practitioners

I offer reflective clinical supervision for qualified and experienced counsellors, providing space to think deeply about your client work, relationships and therapeutic practice. Together, we can explore complex relational dynamics, ethical dilemmas and the emotional impact of the work, while supporting healthy boundaries and reducing the risk of burnout. Supervision is a space to deepen your reflective practice, strengthen your clinical judgement and sustain confidence and connection with the work you do.

Counselling

I offer online counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people aged 11–18, providing a warm, relational space to explore whatever may be feeling difficult or overwhelming. I work with anxiety, bereavement and loss, burnout, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and identity, as well as the challenges that can come with school, family life and growing up.

My approach is neurodiversity affirming, with experience supporting autistic and ADHD adults and young people. Together, we can explore relationship patterns, emotional regulation, masking, identity and the pressures you may be carrying, with a focus on greater understanding rather than trying to ‘fix’ who you are.

The Novella difference

What sets Novella Counselling and Supervision apart is the balance of warmth, honesty and relational depth I bring to my work. My approach to counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision explores how experiences, relationships and patterns can shape the way we understand ourselves and others, creating space for greater awareness and choice.

My practice is neurodiversity affirming and grounded in emotional safety, professional integrity and over 14 years of clinical experience supporting clients, counsellors and student counsellors.

Neurodiversity affirming practice support

Clients achieve a clearer understanding of their patterns, stronger boundaries, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of self. Many describe feeling steadier and less self-critical, able to respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically. We support care without carrying.
